Hello CSA members and friends of the farm!
It’s true, this upcoming week of September 19th will be the last week of CSA delivery. However, now that you all have become carrot, garlic and new potato snobs, we wanted to let you know that eating locally and seasonally doesn’t have to end with the CSA season. Because of the early start and early end to the season, we still in the process of harvesting bulk items and hence are a bit squeezed time-wise regarding our year end bulk sales, so I apologize for the short notice. Each year we offer CSA members an opportunity to buy bulk quantities of year-end items before they sell out at market. If a bulk order seems too much, please remember that there are farmer’s markets that continue past next week as well as a big stock up event on October 6th at the farm. Below is a summary of your options:
BULK ORDERS (see list at end of msg)
For those CSA members in East Glacier, West Glacier, and Columbia Falls….I know it’s a bit of a rush job, but you can place orders by sending us a new email at info@twobearfarm.com (do not reply to this message) by tomorrow night (Monday) if you want anything delivered this week with your CSA.
For all CSA members who pickup in Whitefish, Kalispell , or on farm, you can start placing orders any time with a cutoff date of Sunday, Sept. 25th. These bulk items will not be delivered next week at your CSA pickup, but rather the following week at market. If you are a farm pickup member, you can pickup your order at one of the aforementioned markets, or email us to arrange a time to come pick it up at the farm.
If you don’t get signed up for bulk orders, don’t worry, we’ll most likely have all these items for sale at the remaining farmer’s markets and at the Farm Stock Up sale.
Market Schedule:
The Whitefish Farmer’s Market goes until September 27th….so basically 2 more markets. The market on the 20th is your last CSA pickup, and the market on the 27th is when you can pickup your bulk orders or shop the market stand.
The Columbia Falls Community Market ends this week with the September 22nd market.
Kalispell Farmer’s Market at FVCC goes until October 15th.
FARM STOCK UP Event
Depending on how much available produce we have left, we are hoping to have an on farm stock up event on October 6th, which is a Thursday night from 5pm until 7pm. Not only will it allow you to see the farm and shop direct from the greenhouse and processing barn, but hopefully we’ll have to time to relax and visit. Depending on the weather, our food truck, Farmer and Chef, will be on site if you’re interested in purchasing dinner or appetizers. We will provide further updates as we get closer.

Note: In order to place a bulk order, you must order at least the minimum quantity for an item. and any amount over that must be in the same increment (for example, you can get 30# of carrots, or 60# or 90#, but you can’t get 45#) If you want any quantity less than the quantity shown (it is a “BULK” order after all), it will be much easier for all parties if you come shop for them direct from the Farmer’s Market stand.
